Henrik Vibskov continues to push conscience themes into his collections each season focusing on sleep in SS18 and wind in SS19. The FW19 collection titled ‘The Radish Arm Charm’ is inspired by farming, nature and technology.

The collection reflects on the various ways in which food production and farming effects our lives and the planet, encouraging us to rethink and develop new methods. The collection represents the romantic idea of nature as well as how we choose to interact with it. Voluminous silhouettes with layered details, prints and embroidery remind us of flowers, fruits, vegetables and the long human arms in agriculture.

A long kinetic installation incorporates performers dressed like gardeners carrying ceramic water cans, taking care of the radishes. The radishes are grown in the Henrik Vibskov Studio in Copenhagen and are placed in recycled beer kegs as a part of the urban farming experiment, for which the collection is named.
